Sophie Ackers             -           President
Sophie is a Hertford geographer with ambitions in journalism, her experience ranges from independently producing investigative documentaries on Oxford’s homelessness to researching life under the Burka on Somalia’s border. Sophie’s love for visual media draws from a passion for reporting and research matched by graphic and technical aptitude having edited film clips for Guardian Multimedia, worked for companies as web and graphic designer, published illustration for the UK’s poetry society, and exhibited photography at Oxford.

Tim Williams             -           President (March - November 2011
I’m Tim Williams, President of the Media Society March - December 2011. I hosted events and invited the speakers. An OxStu (Deputy News Editor) and Oxide Radio journalist, I also tweet and blog. Matthew is an MSc student at the African Studies Centre, where he is studying the impact of new media on the 2011 general elections in Nigeria. Hannah Murphy         -           Secretary
Hannah is in a finalist in Modern Languages (French and Italian) at St Johns College.

Natasha
Natasha Taylor-Gatigno       Social Media Strategist
Natasha Taylor-Gatigno is reading for an M.Sc. in Modern Chinese Studies at the University of Oxford graduating in June 2012. With her multicultural upbringing and her social media and linguistic skills, Natasha brings many capabilities to her role as the Social Media Strategist for the Oxford Media Society, in particular in developing social media websites to facilitate members cooperating. Ruby Riley is a first year English undergraduate at Somerville College. She works as Culture Broadcasting Editor for Oxford's premium student newspaper, Cherwell, and is passionate about visual and audio journalism. She has done work experience at the Sunday Telegraph and was Editor of her sixth form newspaper. She is ambitious to pursue a career in film and television when she has completed her degree.
